Tell European Governments to support an EU FTT!
Since last year, the European Commission has been delaying the introduction of a legislative proposal on a financial transaction tax. But in April, the European Parliament voted in favour of an EU-wide FTT. Citizens from all over Europe have called on the European Commission to back a European Financial Transaction Tax.
On June 24 2011, the European Council, the Heads of State and Government of the European Union, will meet to discuss next steps on a Financial Transaction Tax (FTT). Therefore, Europeans have to raise their voices once again and urge their Governments at the European Council, to finally speak out in favour of a European FTT.
- Call upon the opponents of the FTT to change their mind!
- Encourage the supporters of the FTT to remain strong!
- Explain to those who are not convinced, yet why an FTT is important!
